HOME HEALTH STUDYFind out how we can make your home a healthier place.
We Clean for Your Health Like No One Else.
Your home is full of allergens and bacteria. However, your carpets and upholstery work to trap these harmful particles out of the air. This process is important for your home health and indoor air quality. For the 1 in 5 Americans (roughly 60 million) that have allergies or asthma, removal of airborne allergens and other molecules is especially important. The result is a home that is cleaner and fresher for you and your family, but dirty carpets and furniture. When your carpets and furniture get too dirty, they can no longer effectively clean your air. That’s where FRANNAME comes in!
Lab Study Results
We know that you want the best, healthiest home for your family, especially when allergies or other health concerns are in play. We want the best for your home too. That’s why we had an independent air quality lab test our cleaning methods and report on the results.
The study tested our innovative Hot Carbonated Extraction (HCE) carpet and upholstery cleaning method. We tested not only allergen and bacteria removal in our carpet cleaning, but also our upholstery cleaning and our Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®). This study used a cross-section of various consumer homes throughout both the US and the rest of the world.
Here are the results from the final report:
Carpet & Upholstery
Chem-Dry removes 98.1% of common household allergens from carpets and upholstery. The common household allergens tested were cat dander, dog dander and dust mite allergens. This broke down further into the respective services as follows:
- We remove 97.4% of allergens from carpets.
- We remove 99.1% of allergens from upholstery.
- We remove 89.0% of airborne bacteria in the home, significantly improving indoor air quality. This test incorporated the addition of a sanitizer to the cleaning process.
Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®)
Common odor sources from cat and dog urine were tested against Chem-Dry’s process:
- Our P.U.R.T.® treatment is 99.9% effective on average at eliminating pet urine odors.
- Our P.U.R.T.® treatment removes an average of 99.2% of the bacteria from the pet urine stains in the carpets.
Tile, Stone, & Grout
The independent lab tested our Tile, Stone & Grout Cleaning process along with a sanitizer (using Milgo Plus in some tests and Benefect Decon 30 in others) on tile surfaces.
- Our Tile, Stone & Grout cleaning process along with a sanitizer removed an average of 99.9% of the bacteria from the tile surfaces.
Tested & Proven Results with FRANNAME
CHEM-DRY VS. ALLERGENS
Indoor quality is especially important to those who suffer from allergies and disorders like asthma, but it impacts all of us. Too many allergens in the air can make it hard to breathe and can even prompt an allergic reaction or asthma attack in prone individuals.
If you think that indoor air quality doesn’t affect you, consider that we spend an average of 90% of our time indoors! That’s why it’s so important to have a good indoor air quality to breathe. It turns out that one of the best ways to control air quality is keep your carpets clean so that they can remove allergens without releasing them back into the air later. Professional carpet cleaning is so important for the health of your home and your family. However, not all carpet cleaning services are alike. What makes FRANNAME so much more effective than other City1 carpet cleaners?
Our independent Home Health Study found that Chem-Dry’s Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE) removed an average of 98.1% of common household allergens from the carpets and upholstery in multiple homes. The common allergens we tested include cat and dog dander and dust mite allergen.
Try to find another local carpet cleaner that has put so much time and money into research and product improvement in order to make your home drier, cleaner, and healthier.

(Pet Urine Removal Treatment), Granite Countertop Renewal, and Tile, Stone & Grout cleaning processes. Allergens tested were dog and cat dander and dust mite allergen. Pet odor results based on testing with the most common odor sources found in dog and cat urine. Pet urine bacteria results based on Chem-Dry’s HCE cleaning process and a sanitizer, combined with P.U.R.T. All bacteria results include use of sanitizer. Figures are an average across multiple tests.
